Why can you no longer zoom on the photos in the comments?

It is very annoying. Is it to save bandwidth and storage on the Kinja servers?

I thought it was only me and that something was wrong on my end.. I guess not.

I also thought for a while that it was my browser, since I have not updated Safari in like two years. But then I tried it in chrome (updates automatically) and still couldn't zoom.
